This unit required me to transform a Grade II listed Building into a Body Modification Hub.

Through an investigation of environmental technology and regulations, with particular attention to sustainability, I have designed a medium sized space that incorporates technological solutions to specific problems given. Aspects of sustainability, from macro to micro scale will be considered: from assessing the ramifications of choosing particular locations to the advantages of using existing buildings, to efficient building operation and management.

I created a fictional company to base my design around so that I could consider their values and the work they would be doing and help this to inform my design ideas.

The company is made up of specialises in Tattoo's and piercings and they are looking to relocate to bigger space in a central Bournemouth location. Clients are ages 18-30 (some 16+ due to legal age of piercings). The currently sell merchandise and piercing and tattoo aftercare products and their main target audience is young adults who attend university (student district location).
Above is a concept model I created of the proposed reception area for my body modification studio, 'The Cats Tats'.
Above are some of the proposed 3D drawings I created of the different spaces within the body modification hub. Below are some simple renders that I completed. This project was completed during my first year at university, and it is great to reflect upon how far I have progressed in terms of my technical software skills.
