Hello, my name is Shouna. I am currently a Kitchen Planner & Designer based in Weymouth, Dorset. In 2020 I graduated from the Arts University in Bournemouth with a degree in Interior Architecture & Design. From the start of university to my current position, I have learnt many skills and found passions within the sector of design, that I hope take forward throughout my career, as well as be up to challenges and learning new things along the way. I have learnt that I really enjoy working on a mixture of projects, ranging from Residential to Commercial. I am really inspired by modern gothic architecture and interiors, and love working with older buildings, repurposing them for future use.
Throughout the progress of my projects, during university and in my career, I have found great enjoyment in utilising the space I am working with, and incorporating existing features and historical background to impact my design choices. I also have revelled in working directly with customers to achieve their dream outcomes.
I particularly appreciate creating visualisations with computer software, including animations and 3D renders that can help to communicate designs to potential clients. I think it is important to learn about materials and design with the future and environment in mind, sustainable design is something that is really important to me.
